Vinci wins £70m Sheffield forge project
Vinci has won a £70m contract to carry out pre contract services such as demolition & road building at Sheffield Forge. This first stage is part of a £400m project to renew the forge entirely. The forge was bought by Ministry of Defence in 2021.
When complete it will be the UK’s largest open-die forging operation. It will have a 13k tonne forging line.
